Our Thematic Areas

Education.

This entails advocacy for child education in schools, mentorship and value based education to ensure improvement in academic performance at all levels of education. All children should enjoy the right to education by enabling a conducive learning environment including good systems and infrastructure in schools in Kwale County and the country at large.

Climate Resilience.

The aim is to enhance climate change mitigation, community participation, responsible and sustainable use of natural resources. The organization has had an opportunity to rally up stakeholders dealing with environment especially solid waste management and advocating for elimination of unnecessary plastics. Kwale Focus has been recognized by International Coastal Clean Up (ICC) as the best group in zone 1 in 2022.

Health.

This encompasses Health generally as a right in Kenya including sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR), Drugs and substance abuse, mental health, and sanitation amongst others. Through the “Dada Wa Nguvu Initiative” we aim at strengthening the influence of young women and girls whose sexual and reproductive health rights are neglected the most. We seek to ensure that health facilities are well equipped and the community enjoys quality health care services.

Peace and Security.

The organization has implemented programs to ensure that there is peaceful coexistence among members of the community. The main aim is to enable the community to embrace diversity, inclusion and build resilience from all forms of violence. Through the “komesha vipanga chafu iwe safi” initiative, that targets juvenile gangs, the organization has reached out to vulnerable youth and parents whose children are at risk of joining criminal gangs.
